We know that you deserve it as you are working very hard each day to give your best to your students. By being a Seller with SGTeachers, you have become an essential part of the open marketplace to buy, sell, and share original teaching and learning resources with other teachers, parents and students.
4 Steps to Take Today
While there’s so much to share, for now we’ll stick with some of the most important and effective steps you can take as a brand-new Seller.
- Tour the site. Log in to your Seller account and spend some time clicking around on SGTeachers. Do remember to edit your Profile Page. Feel free to Contact Us for individual support.
- Upload a free product. We recommend the first downloadable product you offer in SGTeachers be a free product. Why are we asking you to give something away? Buyers are hesitant to purchase anything when they are not sure what the quality of the product is like. Thus, by offering a free product, you can introduce your work to SGTeachers’ Buyers. You can contribute lesson guides, worksheets, flashcards or short ebooks (at least one item). Do not give away resources, books or any other products which you have spent months to work on. Do post a product that showcases your strengths as a Teacher-Author.
- Know your copyright responsibilities! You should always respect others’ intellectual property too. Your materials must not infringe the copyrights, trademark rights, or any other rights of a third party before you post any product. Especially when it comes to well-known brands and characters, this can get tricky.
- Be patient – and be smart. We know you’re anxious to make that first (and second, and third…) sale, but it does take time. If you create materials that students, parents and other teachers need, and show them off with excellent titles, cover pages, and product descriptions, sales will come. Hang in there! It may take quite awhile before you make your first sale.
We are excited that you have joined SGTeachers. We believe that you will be able to make a difference in our community and we extend our warmest welcome to you!
With warmest support and enthusiasm,
Team SGTeachers
