Music Theory course
Learning music requires much practise, determination and discipline. More importantly, learning music is about understanding musical pieces. Learning music is about being able to read musical scores, understanding what it means and eventually translating them into a song through the instrument. Thus, music theory is an essential component during the course of learning music.
Who should learn music theory?
- Students going for the Graded examinations. This will help with the sight-reading component of the examination and also help to express the examination pieces better.
- Students who want to be able to play any song independently. Playing music is not all about memory. Being able to read a musical score and play is equally important.
